Acron to Reduce UAN Output in Favour of Dry Fertilisers
Acron Group is diversifying its product portfolio to produce more dry fertilisers and cut back UAN. The Group announced these plans ahead of the YugAgro agricultural trade show on 23–26 November 2021 in Krasnodar.
Chairman of the Acron Board of Directors Alexander Popov explained, ‘Acron continues to increase supplies to the domestic market and expand its global presence. In 2020, we sold our products to 74 countries, while our commercial output reached 8 million tonnes. With the new capacity put on stream, we can diversify our product portfolio to produce more dry fertilisers and less UAN. Today, the Group’s strategy is to use all of the existing production capacity, implement the investment programme, increase output, and expand international sales and product portfolio’.
In 9M 2021, Acron Group’s commercial output was 6.315 million tonnes, up 6% year-on-year: mineral fertiliser output was up 3% to 5.017 million tonnes, while urea, granulated urea and NPK output increased 18.4%, 150% and 11.4% respectively.
