Press release: A New Collective Agreement Was Signed at the Nizhnekamsk CHP

A conference of the labor collective was held in OOO Nizhnekamsk CHP (part of the TATNEFT Group), during which the company’s production activities and fulfillment of the 2018 Collective Agreement terms were summed up, and the tasks were outlined for 2019.

According to the results of the reporting period, the electric energy generation amounted to 1,167 million kilowatt-hours, while the thermal energy generation accounted for three and a half million gigacalories. The main heat consumers were JSC TANECO, PJSC Nizhnekamskneftekhim, and the infrastructure of the Nizhnekamsk city. This information was presented in the report of Alexey Yumangulov, Director of OOO Nizhnekamsk CHP. He also pointed out that the work on the implementation of investment and repair programs for main and auxiliary equipment had been carried out at the station on a continuous basis to ensure uninterrupted supply of electric and thermal energy to the consumers. All events planned for 2018 had been implemented in full volume. In particular, the strategic project for the station on the technical re-equipment of the feed pump No. 5 was successfully completed. There was an automatic gas control system implemented for the mazut fuel oil handling equipment at the enterprise. The reporting period witnessed the main building roof cladding replacement, the engineered security safeguards re-equipment, current repairs at seven turbo generators and five boiler units and a number of other facilities.

The year 2019 will be passing for the team of the enterprise under the sign of the approaching 40th anniversary of the power generating station. They began heating the first energy generating boiler at the CHP on December 22, 1979.  The first turbo-generator was hooked up on December 27. The first power generating unit was commissioned after comprehensive testing on December 30, 1979. The Nizhnekamsk CHP-2 (today Nizhnekamsk CHPP) was officially incorporated as an operating facility on January 11, 1980.

Currently, there are 533 people working at the station. Guzel Gatina, Chairperson of the Trade Union Committee, stated in her report that the administration of the enterprise fulfilled its obligations in respect of all items of the Collective Agreement. She paid particular attention to labor protection issues in her presentation. Today, the station has all the conditions for effective and safe work of staff.

The Trade Union Committee together with the administration carried out activities in such areas as improvement of the employees living conditions, health improvement and rehabilitation of company’s team members, cultural and sports work, work with veterans and young people.

Yelena Werner, Chief Specialist of the Corporate Center for Comprehensive Business Development, and Andrey Zimin, First Deputy Chairman of the Trade Union Committee of PJSC TATNEFT, expressed appreciation in respect to the current work of the power generating station and the work of the Trade Union Committee.
