Press release: R&P POLYPLASTIC is setting up production of new material

Mikhail Katsevman, Head of Research and Development at R&P POLYPLASTIC, opened the business program of Interplastica 2019 with his presentation “Innovative technology of producing long-fiber thermoplastics”.

The market of long-fiber thermoplastics (LFT) is on the rise in Europe. In 2018, it amounted to more than 150 thousand tons. LFT materials have great potential as a substitution for metals in industrial products including aerospace equipment and railway transport.

That is precisely why R&P POLYPLASTIC has decided to start production of LFT materials with a general-purpose complex of properties. The “Armalong” material has been developed in the company’s Research and Development Center and contributes to import substitution of LFT materials and expansion of their areas of application.
