Press release: Interplastica 2019: R&P POLYPLASTIC took part in the Polymer Plaza conference

The largest Russian plastics processing event – Interplastica 2019 started its work on January 29. Specialists of the leading national manufacturer of polymer compound materials R&P POLYPLASTIC took active part in the Polymer Plaza conference.

During the panel discussion about government support of the polymer industry R&P POLYPLASTIC mentioned the problem of lack of a separate Harmonized System code for the polymer compound materials. That is the reason why Russian manufacturers cannot rely on measures of government support including compensation of logistics costs for export supplies.

Purchasing director Sergey Gulyaev participated in the discussion about the main trends of the Russian polymer market. “The key reasons for growing competition with foreign manufacturers are high costs of Russian raw materials and poor brand assortment,” noted Mr. Gulyaev.

On January 30, representatives of R&P POLYPLASTIC will continue their work at the exhibition. Mikhail Katsevman shall open the business program of the Extrusion Russia conference with a presentation about “Innovative technology of producing long-fiber thermoplastics”.
