Press release: Gasolines production in Salavat reached historical maximum
Gazprom neftekhim Salavat summarized production results for 2018.
According to the previous year’s results, the company increased marketable products output. For the first time in history, the production of high-octane motor gasolines amounted to 1.03 million tons (0.92 million tons in 2017). That became possible due to feedstock, the isomerization unit start-up in 2017 and beneficial market conditions. Production of diesel fuel grew up to 1.97 million tons (1.5 million tons in 2017). Thus, Gazprom neftekhim Salavat fulfilled its obligations under four-party contract, signed in 2011 with participation of PJSC Gazprom, The Federal Antimonopoly Service, The Federal Service for the Supervision of Environment, Technology and Nuclear Management, and the Federal Agency on Technical Regulation and Metrology. One of the document’s clauses was the LLC Gazprom neftekhim Salavat’s obligation to produce at least 1.0 million tons per year of motor gasolines, Class 5, and 1.75 million tons per year of diesel fuel, Class 5.
In 2018 the total throughput of refined hydrocarbon feedstock in LLC Gazprom neftekhim Salavat equaled 6.7 million tons. Gas condensates from Surgut condensate stabilization plant, Orenburg gas processing plant and Astrakhan gas processing plant are still predominant in feedstock pool — 4.8 million tons. The throughput of processed Tsarichansk oil exceeded 1.04 million tons.
In 2018 heavy residues were forwarded for road bitumen production. The output of this product more than doubled, reaching 194 thousand tons (compared to 93 thousand tons in 2017).
The final results of 2018 and stage improvement of Monomer plant, directly connected with the Refinery, allowed the company to raise its petrochemical production. Ethylene production became record with its 382.8 thousand tons (317.973 thousand tons in 2017), followed by styrene — 200.5 thousand tons (170.991 thousand tons in 2017), and plasticizers — 33 thousand tons (25.597 thousand tons in 2017). A range of other products also showed an increase.
The production complex at the LLC Gazprom neftekhim Salavat for acrylic acid and its products also enlarged the product output in 2018: over 65 thousand tons of acrylic acid (57 thousand tons in 2017), more than 73 thousand tons of butyl ester of acrylic acid (69 thousand tons in 2017) and over 20 thousand tons of acrylic acid, Grade L (14 thousand tons in 2017).

The Company is integrated into the Gazprom system. It has the basic advantage, consolidating on a single site a full cycle of crude hydrocarbons processing, petrochemistry and mineral fertilizers production. The Company comprises the Oil Refinery, Gas & Chemical Plant and the Monomer Plant.
Gazprom neftekhim Salavat produces more than 100 items, over 50% of which are bulk products including motor gasoline, diesel fuel, fuel oil, styrene, polystyrene, low density polyethylene, high density polyethylene, DOP plasticizer, butyl alcohols, sulphur, ammonia, urea, acrylic acid, butyl acrylate etc.
The oil refining and petrochemical products are exported to all the federal subjects of the country. The export reach covers over 50 CIS and non-CIS countries including Finland, China, Brazil, the UK, Western Europe countries and the Baltic states.
High quality of Gazprom neftekhim Salavat output is confirmed by certificates of conformity to ISO 9001 and 14001, the international standards of quality and environmental safety.
The Company’s occupational health and safety management system is compliant with the requirements of OHSAS 18001 international standard.
