Press release: R&P POLYPLASTIC took part in a discussion at Ministry of Industry and Trade

On November 9, 2018, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Victor Eftuhov moderated a discussion about the updating of the RF Government Regulation № 719 “About confirmation of production of industrial products on the territory of Russian Federation”. The updates concern the criterion of placing the automobile production into the domestically produced category.

The main goal of the session was to stimulate the demand for Russian chemical industry products, which may be used in the auto industry. Apart from that, the issue of including additional standards for localization extension was discussed.    

Managing partner Andrey Menshov and Deputy Head of sales Ekaterina Smirnova represented R&P POLYPLASTIC at the session. One of the main obstacles for localization of polymer materials in Russia is the lack of national certification centers, experts of the company noted. Russian producers are forced to certify their products in European laboratories, which is more expensive and time-consuming. The abovementioned problem was well appreciated by representatives of the industry.
