Press release: TATNEFT Representatives Visited the Republic of Uzbekistan

Nail Maganov met with Alisher Sultanov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan, within the business program framework. The event was attended by the management representatives of JSC "Uzbekneftegaz", industrial enterprises and organizations of the Republic.

The parties reviewed partnership opportunities in the main business areas of TATNEFT Company's activities – geological field exploration, field development and enhanced oil recovery, machine building, petrochemistry, oil refining, etc. The companies also plan to exchange experience in the field of personnel training, organization of children's leisure on the basis of the children's health improvement camps.

The meeting participants discussed issues related to the localization of the chain drives (PC-22) joint manufacturing of the TATNEFT’s Bugulma Mechanical Plant at JSC "Uzbekhimmash Factory"; field development with future possible establishment of a joint venture in in Uzbekistan. The parties also considered the issues of conducting joint research on the development of bitumen deposits, monitoring of geodynamic changes using satellite observation systems, the development of science, etc.

Special attention was paid to the subject of personnel training for the country’s oil and gas industry. TATNEFT presented draft educational programs for managers and leading specialists on the development of managerial, general corporate and professional competencies, including on-the-job-training for employees of JSC Uzbekneftegaz.

Based the meeting results the parties will establish a Coordinating Council to promote the development of bilateral relations.
