Press release: «Poliom» has increased polypropylene output

The production results of the first half of 2018 were summed up at Omsk polypropylene plant (joint venture of GC «Titan», «Gazprom-Neft» and SIBUR).

For the first six months of 2018 the scope of the commercial product – polypropylene amounted to 109,9 MT of high quality polymer. It is 3% more than during the same period in 2017. Such the result became possible due to the implementation of a set of measures aimed at increasing of polymerization unit capacity.

The plant «Poliom» is one of the three leading Russian producers and exporters of polypropylene. The enterprise products are supplied to 20 countries of the world and to seven of eight federal districts of the Russian Federation. A number of Omsk companies-processors are also among the consumers. In 2015 the plant for the first time entered the list of the largest taxpayers of the Omsk region; the enterprise has been holding this position for several years.

In July, 2018, «Poliom» produced the millionth ton of the polymer. Polypropylene is used for the production of packaging, rolled materials, water pipes and fittings, as well as consumer goods.
