Press release: TATNEFT Hosted a Visiting Meeting of Rostekhnadzor

A visiting meeting of the Rostekhnadzor’s Privolzhsky Administration was held at PJSC TATNEFT dedicated to the results of the planned Company’s operations audit.

The event was attended by Boris Petrov, Head of Volga Federal Department of Rostekhnadzor, Nail Ibragimov, First Deputy General Director for Production - Chief Engineer of PJSC TATNEFT, as well as representatives of the Company's structural divisions and service companies.

Overall, there are 464 hazardous production facilities of the Company registered in the national register. The meeting participants discussed the results of planned inspections carried out by experts of Rostekhnadzor, recorded observations in the area of industrial safety, as well as measures taken to prevent them in the process of subsequent operation of the facilities. The importance of ensuring all industrial safety requirements was emphasized at both the design, construction and testing stages of new facilities, and during their operation, maintenance, diagnosis and repair. It was also recommended at the meeting to improve the quality of training activities for drilling the of the company’s personnel actions in the event of emergencies, as well as to tighten control over the activities of contractors at the Company's facilities.

There is a Program for Industrial Safety and Labor Protection for 2016-2018 implemented at TATNEFT at present. Inter alia, the main tasks of the Company for the coming years include the introduction of a systematic approach to the management of occupational safety, as well as assessment management of occupational risks. This will allow taking preventive measures necessary to ensure the protection of workers' health and safety.
