Press release: Omsk polypropylene plant increases sales at the domestic level

The plant «Poliom» (joint venture of GC «Titan», «Gazprom Neft» and SIBUR) has analyzed the results of sales of polypropylene in the first five months of 2018.

Scope of sales within Russia increased by an average of 10% compared with the same period in 2017. The enterprise's products are sold in seven federal districts of the country, also about 5% of the sold polypropylene remains in the Omsk region.

Since the plant was launched, 10 Omsk small and medium-sized business enterprises had become consumers of polymer produced in Omsk. These enterprises include producers of sack tare, plastic disposable packaging, film and flexible packaging, manufacturers of polypropylene pipes and fittings for water supply and heating systems and others.

Three grades of polymer are in demand in Omsk: there are PP H 030 GP (of general purpose for extrusion, compounding, injection casting), PP H 007 EX (for the production of non-pressure pipes, sewage and drainage system) and PP H 085 CF (for production of cast non-oriented single-layered and composite films – CPP or cast-film).

It is very important for us to have opportunity to buy raw materials of such level in our region, - said Nikolay Plakhin, the head of «Poli-Pro-Pak» Ltd. - The plant produces high quality products that retain its properties during primary and secondary processing. In addition, reliable packaging into a stretch film helps to avoid any losses during handling».

The largest consumers of polypropylene in the Omsk region are «Planeta Centr» Ltd., «Kairos Firm» CJSC, «Poli-Pro-Pak» Ltd., «Polymer Plast» Ltd. Some of these companies are the participants of Petrochemical industrial cluster of the Omsk region.

Omsk polypropylene plant is one of three largest producers of this polymer in the country. Polypropylene produced by "Poliom" is of high quality that is confirmed by laboratory tests and has certificates of compliance with specifications.
