Press release: Another Project Modernization of the Production Equipment Was Completed at "Nizhnekamskshina"

A large-scale project for the reconstruction and technical re-equipment of the preparatory shop was completed at the Nizhnekamskshina factory, which provided for the installation of three new Harburg Freudenberger lines for the production of rubber compounds required to manufacture KAMA Euro and Viatti tyres.

The work to modernize and automate the tyre manufacturing business of TATNEFT Company is conducted with the aim of improving products quality through the active introduction of lean production tools.

Rubber mixing is one of the main stages of the tyre manufacturing technological process. It is just this initial stage that largely determines the quality of future tyres. Therefore, the management of OOO "Tatneft-Neftekhim" Management Company took a decision in 2015 to perform reconstruction of the preparatory shop with the installation of three modern rubber-mixing lines with a design capacity of 30 thousand tons of mixtures per year.

Among other things the modernization included dismantling of obsolete "machines", preparation of sites for installation of new equipment and mating with the already existing technological and technical support systems. The previous six rubber-mixing lines were replaced with three new ones of higher productivity. The production process is maximally computerized; the units are completely hermetic and they are fully monitored by an automated control system minimizing the adverse impact onto the environment. The new equipment makes it possible to significantly reduce energy costs, save raw and consumables and improve the working environment for the workers in the preparatory shop.

In the future, the workshop will manufacture products not only for the needs of PJSC "Nizhnekamskshina", but also for OOO "NZS TsMK".
