Press release: A New Staffing Appointment at TATNEFT

A new staffing appointment took place at TATNEFT Company. Rustam Khalimov was appointed as the First Deputy General Director for Exploration and Production of Oil and Gas.

Being the First Deputy General Director for Exploration and Production of crude Oil and Gas, R.Kh. Khalimov will oversee the Company’s development and production of crude oil and gas of and act as a functional customer for the following business blocks: geological exploration; well workover, drilling and enhanced oil recovery; capital construction; power engineering; industrial, environmental safety and labor protection; technical policy.

R.Kh. Khalimov was born in 1965 in the village of Irekle, Almetyevsky District. He graduated from the Moscow Institute of Petrochemical and Gas Industry named after Academician I.M. Gubkin in 1987 specializing in "Technology and complex mechanization of oil and gas fields" and qualifying as a ‘Mining Engineer”. In 2001, he graduated from the Academy of National Economy under the Government of the Russian Federation qualifying as the Oil and Gas Business Manager. He was granted PhD, Engineering in 2004.

He started his working career at PJSC TATNEFT in 1987 joining the team of NGDU Yamashneft, where he worked his way from the oil and gas production operator to the deputy chief of the oil field’s production shop. In 1996, he was appointed deputy head of the maintenance department of the reservoir pressure maintenance service at NGDU Yamashneft. In 1999, he was the Production Department senior engineer of the TATNEFT’s Executive Office. Since November 1999, he was appointed as Head of the Engineering and Technology Department of Oil Production at the Engineering Center. In December 1999 he was appointed as Chief Engineer and then First Deputy Head of NGDU Yamashneft. 2010 - Director of the PJSC TATNEFT’s branch in Libya. Since 2011, he was the head of NGDU "Elkhovneft". In 2015, he was appointed Deputy General Director for crude oil production, in 2016 - Deputy General Director for Development and Production of oil and gas.

R.Kh. Khalimov is a member of the PJSC TATNEFT’s Board of Directors.
