Press release: President of Lukoil and Head of Komi discus regional development

President of LUKOIL Vagit Alekperov and the Head of the Komi Republic, Sergey Gaplikov, held a working meeting, in Usinsk today. They discussed further steps to ensure economic and social development of the region as well as the current status of cooperation.

For instance, various infrastructure facilities, new sports centers in the city of Usinsk and the town of Yarega among them, are being constructed under the 2018 Protocol to the Agreement on Cooperation between the company and the region. LUKOIL will also continue to support healthcare, education, culture and non-governmental organizations.

Vagit Alekperov and Sergey Gaplikov took part in the awarding ceremony of Usinsk school students who became winners of the "Student of the Year" national contest. Over 20 students received certificates for excellent achievements in learning, science, sports and social work.
