Turkmenistan to start production of BOPP film in the first half of the year
The Turkmenbashi Complex of Oil Refineries (TCOR) will start producing biaxially-oriented polypropylene film (BOPP film) in June this year.
The production facility was built by P.T.Istana karang Laut, an Indonesian firm. Precomissioning operations are currently underway at the production site. The facility will use polypropylene produced at TCOR as its feedstock. The new facility will produce more than 20 thousand tonnes of different types of film per year, including film intended for food and industrial goods packaging.
