Press release: Figures Demonstrating Results of Operations in March and Three Months of 2018

Crude Oil Production

The enterprises of TATNEFT Croup of Companies produced 2,445 thousand tonnes of crude oil in March 2018, while the production volume for three months amounted to 7,098 thousand tonnes, which was 118 thousand tonnes less than in 2017 In this volume the production of PJSC TATNEFT in the amount of 2,416 thousand tonnes (minus 112 thousand tonnes versus the same period in 2017).

The production in the licensed areas outside the Republic of Tatarstan amounted to 29 thousand tonnes in March, while the three months production amounted to 84 thousand tonnes (six thousand tonnes less than for three months of 2017).

The production volume of high-viscosity oil amounted to 159,171tonnes (136.6%), while the production volume for three months amounted to 458,522 tonnes (+125,833 tonnes to QI of 2017)

New Drilling

128 new wells were built and delivered to customers in March, with the production well drilling amounting to 81 wells and 26 wells of this number being infill wells and drilling to the bitumen deposits accounting for 47 wells.

Active Well Stock Drilling

The plan for delivering sidetracks and horizontal wellbores was fulfilled: the planned number amounted to 66, while 81 wells were delivered.

Drilling of Wells outside the Republic of Tatarstan

The completion process is underway at well # 1 of the Dolansko-Erdnievskaya area In the Republic of Kalmykia, well No. 1 Barriernaya was temporarily plugged and abandoned.

1 production and 1 exploration well were commissioned in the Samara region, well # 278 is by the process of completion and testing.

Repair of Wells

In three months of 2018 the remedial well servicing and workover crews performed basic well servicing in 2,507 wells at the sites of PJSC TATNEFT (2,463 wells in March.   There were 15 repair operations performed at the licensed areas outside the Republic of Tatarstan.

Work over operations were performed at 641 wells during three months (612 wells during QI of 2017).

Formation hydrocracking operations were carried out in 208 wells (196 wells in in QI of 2017).

Crude oil recovery enhancement operations were performed in 596 wells (594 wells in March), including chemical methods applied in 271 wells (303 wells in in QI of 2017). The additional oil production resulting from the application of enhanced oil recovery methods amounted to 2 million 157 thousand tonnes, including 600 thousand tonnes resulting from the application of chemical methods. 

Production Performance of JSC TANECO

The TANECO Complex of Refining and Petrochemical Plants processed 766,9  thousand tonnes in March  with the volume processed since the beginning of the year        amounting to 2,284.3 thousand tonnes with 738.5 thousand tonnes of raw petroleum materials processed in March and 1,237.9 tonnes of petroleum feedstock processed  since the beginning of the year.

The Complex yielded 733.3 thousand tonnes of petroleum products in March 2018 with the production volume amounting to 2,163.2 thousand tonnes yielded since the beginning of the year.
