CHEMTURA INCREASES AXION™ TIN CATALYST PRICES

Chemtura Corporation announces the following price increases for its Axion™ line of tin catalysts:

DBTO $2.40/kg (1.80 Euro/kg)
DOTO $2.30/kg (1.73 Euro/kg)
MBTO $2.50/kg (1.88 Euro/kg)

These price increases will be effective May 1, 2007 or as contracts allow. This action is necessary for Chemtura to remain a strong supplier of tin catalysts. Driven by tight supply and strong demand, LME tin prices have escalated by nearly 50% between January and April (from $10,000/mt to $15,000/mt) and are expected to remain at high levels.
