EUROCHEM ENTERPRIZE IN BELORECHENSK INCREASED OUTPUT OF FERTILIZERS BY 6% IN 2006

In 2006 EuroChem – Belorechenskie Minudobrenia produced 355,800 tonnes (in physical terms) of solid mineral fertilizers. The output of ammophos, sulphoammophos grade 20:20, and diammonium phosphate grade 18:47 was increased by 6 % compared to 2005.

The output of sulphuric acid produced remained the same as the year ago (454,600 tonnes) and was consumed internally. The output of wet-process phosphoric acid (100 % Р2О5) increased to 172,100 tonnes, up 8.8 % from the last year.

The year 2006 was marked by the commissioning of the first line of diammonium phosphate production. In 2006, 43,800 tonnes of the new fertilizer was produced and 31,361 tonnes was supplied to consumers meeting international quality standards.

Among real achievements was the assembly of big-bag filling unit to enable the factory to increase domestic shipments of pre-packed products to 70 %. The construction and connection of a new absorption tower in the sulphuric acid shop was the first stage of the scheduled upgrade of the shop to ramp up its capacity to 720,000 tonnes of acid per year. Another achievement of the enterprise was the increase of the wet-process phosphoric acid shop capacity to 17,000 tonnes per month.

The enterprise started a series of important investment projects, such as the construction of own local treatment facilities to be commissioned in the first half of 2007, and the establishment of the distribution center at the factory site.

The share of fertilizers supplied by EuroChem to Krasnodar Territory is 32 %. Taking into account the geographic position of EuroChem – BMU, the company set a goal for the enterprise to increase domestic shipments of fertilizers to Russia and the CIS countries to 150,000 tonnes. The enterprise fulfilled the goal, having shipped 172,000 tonnes. In total, the enterprise supplied 315,000 tonnes of solid mineral fertilizers in 2006. In 2007, it plans to sell its products in Russia, the CIS countries, and Eastern Europe.
