NINE MONTHS' OUTPUT OF EUROCHEM ENTERPRISE IN LITHUANIA GROWS 6%
During the first nine months of 2006 Lifosa AB, a part of EuroChem Mineral and Chemical Company, produced 584,750 tonnes of diammonium phosphate – a phosphorous-containing fertilizer and a core product of the enterprise. The output was 6% ahead of the year-ago level. The output of feed phosphates grew to 50,610 tonnes (103% of the year-ago level). Feed phosphates are important nutritional supplements for livestock. A strong growth was seen in the production of sulphuric and phosphoric acids which are primarily used at Lifosa AB as raw materials for phosphate fertilizers and feed phosphates. The production of aluminium fluoride saw the highest growth (149.5% of the year-ago level). This product is used mainly in the production of aluminium metal by electrolysis.
