EuroChem is granted a 38.5 hectare plot in Perm Krai by local government decree

The Government of Perm Krai has issued a decree granting a priority status to the special-purpose investment project undertaken by EuroChem. Under the decree, the fertilizer producer receives a 38.5 hectare plot of land without the need to go through the tender procedure.

According to a report made during a regional governmental hearing by Nikolay Goncharov, Acting Minister of Property Management and Land Matters, the granted 38.5 ha plot is located at Sverdlova Street in Berezniki.

Back in November 2016 EuroChem signed a special-purpose federal-level investment contract with the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia on the one hand and Perm Krai authorities on the other, the first contract of this kind signed in the region. The deal provides for the construction of the Usolsky Potash Plant, whose capacities will include a mine and a factory able to produce more than 2 million tonnes of potassium chloride per year.  The contract has a 10-year term. The overall cost of the project is RUB 115 billion. Upon reaching its full capacity the plant will have created 1700 new jobs. Under the contract, EuroChem has an additional obligation to develop Berezniki's social infrastructure: to build apartment houses with a total housing area of almost 100 thousand square meters, as well as social and road infrastructure facilities and utility networks.
