Press release: «Omsky kauchuk» takes measures on work environment improvement

Installation of the equipment that will ensure the safest conditions to specialists working at height is being carried out at the plant «Omsky kauchuk».

Safety systems are being installed on the racks of the workshop for product loading/unloading from tank cars. In total, the contractor organization will have to fit 75 risers of 4 loading/unloading racks with safety devices. Each riser should be equipped with one slow-response device of retracting type «НВ-03» that has the certificate of conformity TR CU 019/2011 «On personal protective equipment safety».

The safety devices are completed with a carbine and a polyamide lanyard instead of a steel cable. The brake device starts its operation at a sharp increase of lanyard pulling rate. In this case, braking distance does not exceed 0.5 meters, and a swivel that is built in the protective housing minimizes the possibility of the lanyard twisting.

In addition to such system, the safety of specialists working at height provided by a safety harness, that is nailed to safety wire using carbine.

Earlier, similar equipment was installed at «Poliom» Ltd. – the joint venture of GC «Titan», «Gazprom Neft» and SIBUR.

Let us recall that in 2017 more than 112 million rubles were invested in the sector of the environment protection, occupational safety and industrial safety of «Omsky kauchuk» PJSC, and more than 24 million rubles in the first quarter of 2018.
