The delivery of equipment ordered by Omsky Kauchuck (Omsk Rubber) includes 21 unit of main and auxiliary equipment manufactured in Russia, USA, Japan and Latvia. The most important part of this new addition to the company’s equipment fleet is a set including no less than 5 up-to-date domestically-manufactured Khromos gas chromatography units that come with high-purity hydrogen generators. Furthermore, the company’s lab has received refrigerated/heating circulators, humidity sensors, Unica spectrophotometers, lab scales, water preparation system and a Labaqua HPLC system for preparation of high-purity water from tap water.
The latter piece of equipment is novel to the lab personnel, which would have to undergo training in order to be able to use it. This system has a capacity of 2 L per minute and includes a display-equipped control module. The highly purified water (free of all non-organic and organic impurities) produced by the Labaqua system will be used for studies necessary in order to launch the manufacture of new high-quality products at the phenol-acetone manufacturing facility. The highly purified water produced by the unit conforms to the requirements of the ISO and ASTM standards and may be used not only in petrochemistry but also in nanotechnological, microbiological and molecular biology research.
