Press release: The Environmental Award Was Conferred to TANECO Again

JSC TANECO was named the winner of the XIIIth All-Russian contest "Leader of Environmental Activities in Russia 2017" in the nomination "For Environmental Responsibility".

This prestigious competition is annually held following the initiative of international forums "World Experience and the Economy of Russia" and "Human Health and Ecology". The contest’s expert commission includes representatives of federal ministries, relevant committees of the Federation Council and the State Duma of the Russian Federation, heads of public organizations, scientists and rectors of the largest Russian universities. The contest is held for the purpose of public encouragement of the enterprises for active work in the field of environmental protection and rational management.

 The award presented to JSC TANECO was another recognition of the serious environmental activities carried out by TATNEFT Company in the process of construction and operation of the Oil Refining and Petrochemical Plants Complex in Nizhnekamsk. By and large, more than RUB 26 billion were allocated for the implementation of environmental technologies only during the construction activities of the oil refining Complex’s first stage. This allowed significant reducing the adverse impact of the production activities on the atmospheric air, water resources and the soil.

The work aimed at improving the ecological situation in the region is conducted on a systematic basis. TANECO was the first enterprise in Tatarstan to equip the emissions sources with automatic flue gas composition monitoring devices. Last year, a lot of work was done on the technical re-equipment of a railroad tank filling rack for loading oil products.

Today, JSC TANECO is one of the most advanced Russian enterprises both in terms of economic performance and in terms of the production facilities environmental friendliness. This fact is confirmed by the data of the continuous environmental monitoring conducted by the professionals of JSC TANECO. The modern high-tech equipment of the laboratory of the Oil Refining and Petrochemical Plants Complex in Nizhnekamsk, which allows embracing the whole range of necessary studies stipulated by the Russian and international legislation.

It is worth mentioning that JSC TANECO has repeatedly been presented federal and national awards for environmental activities and the introduction of the best available technologies.
