Press release: Figures Demonstrating Results of Operations during April and Four Months of 2017

Crude Oil Production 

Enterprises of the TATNEFT Croup of Companies produced 2 million 362 thousand tonnes of crude oil in April of 2017 and 9 million 578 thousand tonnes during four months,  which was  363 thousand tonnes more than the amount produced during the same period of the previous year.

The production of PJSC TATNEFT amounted to 2 million 333 thousand tonnes of crude oil with the production for four months amounting to 9 million 458 thousand tonnes (+355 thousand tonnes ;103.9 percent to the April level of 2016).

The Company’s subsidiaries accounted for 29,339 tonnes crude oil production (112.7 percent versus April 2016) in the licensed areas outside the Republic of Tatarstan; 120 thousand 129 tonnes during 4 months (+8.3 thousand tonnes; 107.4 percent). 

New Drilling

241 new wells were built and delivered to customers during four months of 2017, which was 28 percent above the figure for the same period of 2016 (189 wells in 2016) with the production wells number amounting to 237 wells) and exploratory drilling accounting for  3 wells and drilling to bitumen – 1 well.

Active Well Stock Drilling

There were 25 sidetracks and horizontal wellbores delivered during four months in 2017. 

The average number of crews involved in traditional drilling amounted to 47 crews during four months of 2017.

Drilling of wells for PJSC TATNEFT in the Nenets Autonomous Okrug and the Republic of Kalmykia

Construction and testing of all 5 planned for drilling well was completed in the Nenets Autonomous Okrug.

Drilling of well No. 1 at the Barrieryaya Area is in the process of completion in the Republic of Kalmykia. 5,800 m had been penetrated according to the plan.

Drilling of well No. 370 is In the Orenburg region is underway. Currently, the work ihas been suspended due to the spring flood.

Repair of Wells

During four months of 2017 the remedial well servicing and workover crews performed servicing in 3,306 wells at the sites of PJSC TATNEFT (843 wells in April), while workover operations were performed in 808 wells (211 wells in April).

There were 18 wells repaired for OOO “Tatneft-Samara” and 4 wells for OOO “Tatneft-Severny” outside the Republic of Tatarstan.

Formation hydrocracking operations were carried out in 274 wells (76 wells in April). 

Oil recovery enhancement operations were performed in 801 wells (212 wells in April), including chemical methods applied in 383 wells (81 wells in April).

Production Performance of JSC TANECO

The TANECO Complex of Refining and Petrochemical Plants processed 389.4  thousand tonnes of raw materials in April 2017 and 2,744.5 thousand tonnes since the beginning of the year, including 344.1 thousand tonnes of petroleum feedstock processed in April and 2480.3 thousand tonnes of petroleum feedstock processed since the beginning of the year. 

The Complex yielded 354.6 thousand tonnes of petroleum products in April 2017 and 2,583.4 thousand tonnes since the beginning of the year.

The TANECO Complex operation was stopped for scheduled over from April 15 till May 21.
