Press release: Working meeting between Alexey Miller and Mher Grigoryan, Armenia’s Acting Deputy Prime Minister

A working meeting between Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee, and Mher Grigoryan, Acting Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, took place in Moscow today.

In accordance with the signed supplementary agreement to the contract between Gazprom Export and Gazprom Armenia setting the price of gas supplies to Armenia in 2019, the price of Russian gas at the border between Georgia and Armenia will be USD 165 for 1,000 cubic meters starting from January 1, 2019.

Gazprom Armenia will continue negotiating the issue of the domestic tariff structure for natural gas with the relevant bodies of the Armenian Government.

Background

Gazprom Armenia, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Gazprom, is focused on natural gas supplies to the Armenian market. In addition, the company transports, stores, distributes and sells natural gas, as well as upgrades and expands the gas transmission system and underground gas storage facilities in the Republic of Armenia.

The contract between Gazprom Export and Gazprom Armenia for the supplies of up to 2.5 billion cubic meters of Russian gas per year will be in effect until the end of 2019.
