Press release: Vladimir Putin Recognises Acron CEO

During the official awards ceremony at the Kremlin, Russian President Vladimir Putin presented the honorary badge of the Honoured Chemist of the Russian Federation to Acron CEO Vladimir Kunitsky. 

The title was bestowed by the Decree of the Russian President for Mr Kunitsky’s contribution to the development of the chemical industry and long-standing fair work. 
 
Mr Kunitsky thanked the President and said, "The way I see it, this award primarily expresses appreciation for the work of all Acron employees. We will continue to move forward, build new capacity and open new production facilities. Our industry is experiencing steady growth, providing Russian farmers with cutting-edge mineral fertilisers. We will do our best to meet their high expectations". 
 
Mr Kunitsky was born in 1948. In 1971, he graduated from the Gorky Urals State University with a degree in chemistry. He began his career in the chemical industry at the Krasno-Uralsk Copper Smelting Plant, where he worked from 1971 to 1983, when he joined Dorogobuzh Minudobreniya Production Association (later, PJSC Dorogobuzh). His previous offices include deputy head of AN operations and head of NPK operations. Between 2006 and 2011, Mr Kunitsky was Acron senior vice president. Since 2011, he has served as Acron CEO and President. He also holds a Merit in Labour Medal.
