Press release: "Tatneft-AZS Center" Is a Winner of the Lean Production Contest

 

"Tatneft-AZS Center" was awarded winner 4 diplomas of the Cup named after Gastev.

The company was recognized the best in the categories "Industry Leader of wholesale and retail sales of crude oil, gas and derivative products thereof"; "Lean startup", "Leader of creating efficient workplace positions" (Chuvashia branch of OOO "Tatneft-AZS Center"). The company also was awarded a diploma "Business system development leader".

Results of the performance leaders contest for the cup named after A.K. Gastev were summed up based on the audit summary data. The contest commission inspected the head office and branches of the company. An objective assessment of the expert jury referred to three criteria of the lean production: development of professionals, development of processes and sustainable development of business systems. Based on the facilities’ audit results the inspectors marked off the widespread application of analytical tools, the involvement of employees in the process of continuous improvement and extensive use of lean tools. 

The start of developing the production system of "Tatneft-AZS Center" was set up by the management staff training of the head office and branches conducted by experts of the "Lean Couching” company. The management of OOO "Tatneft-AZS Center" applied a step by step approach to the lean production organization. This approach allows gradual reorganizing the production system of the enterprise and practically introducing the lean techniques. This strategy allows reducing the cost of projects implementation and increasing the number of the modification program supporters.

Primary objectives were defined in order to implement lean production tools: personnel training, TPM (total productive maintenance of equipment), implementation of 5S system (the system of organization and rationalization of the workplace). Such tools such as visualization, standardization, Kanban, KPSTS (value creation stream map) built-in quality and others are implemented. Currently there are 12 lean production tools that are being used. The monthly held SFM-meetings (management from the value creation place) in the mode of video conferencing perform analysis and evaluation of results of the financial and economic activity, which result in working out corrective actions.
