Press-release: PJSC «Nizhnekamskneftekhim» masters bimodal polyethylene for the production of sheathed power cable

Forum "Plastics - Import Substitution in the Cable Industry" took place on September 8, 2016 within the framework of the XXIII Tatarstan petrochemical Forum. Specialists of PJSC «Nizhnekamskneftekhim» reported on the results of a joint work with Tatkabel and R&D ChemTech associated with research and polyethylene tests for power cables oversheath. The Forum was organized by RT Ministry of Industry, with the participation of representatives of PJSC «Nizhnekamskneftekhim», PJSC Kazanorgsintez, Tatkabel Plant, R&D ChemTech, Kama plant polymer materials, KNRTU and others. Experts discussed possibilities of using certain brands of domestic polyethylene made by PJSC «Nizhnekamskneftekhim» and PJSC Kazanorgsintez, instead of imported materials in the production of power cables.

Nizhnekamsk specialists carry on research and testing of bimodal polyethylene brand. As of     to-day, three stages of the planned works out of four have been carried out. Expected completion of the tests is scheduled at the end of September 2016.
