Press-release: Energy Saving Technologies of BMZ

The Bugulma Mechanical Plant (BMZ) of PJSC TATNEFT won the highest award at the International specialized exhibition "Oil, gas. Petrochemicals-2016" for the energy-saving technologies implemented at the enterprise.

The plant received the Grand Prix for developing a set of solutions for the energy efficiency of oil recovery through application of a new measurement system to determine oil quantities and parameters (petroleum products.

The Bugulma Mechanical Plant of PJSC TATNEFT manufactures CQCS units in accordance with the technical regulations of the Customs Union TR TS 010/20 "On the safety of machinery and equipment."

The measurement systems (CQCS) manufactured at BMZ are intended to determine the amounts of oil, its quality parameters: density, moisture content, as well as technological parameters such as pressure and temperature. The systems can be applied in technological cycles of the chemical, petrochemical, oil refining, oil and other industries.

The main functions of CQCS include   automated measurement of mass and mass flow; automated and manual sampling; automated measurement of density and water fraction volume; remote and local measurement of pressure and temperature; automated determination of component composition, flow rate measurement in the quality line, etc.

The system provides for automated control and verification of metrological characteristics of operating (backup and testing) flow transducers for compliance with the calibration outfit settings, and also controls the measurement lines.

The CQCS structure is basically defined by the customer’s technical specifications and as rule includes the following main components: filter unit (FI), inlet manifold, crude quality measurement unit (CQMU), calibration outfit connecting assembly (CO), measuring lines unit (MLU), outlet manifold, technological and drainage lines and information processing system (IPS).

The main components of CQCS are units of measuring the liquid quantity and determining the liquid quality. In the event of any faults in the operation of the main measurement line the CQCS unit will use a backup metering line, which provides for execution of all the necessary operations.

Thanks to the intelligent unit the amount of the liquid flown is calculated according to a predetermined algorithm and the information obtained is transmitted to the control panel of the WKS-manager.

At the moment CQCS systems are manufactured for NGDU "Bavlyneft" and reconstruction of CQCS units is at the stage of completion for NGDU "Nurlatneft".
