Press-release: "Bavlyneft" Oil and Gas Production Division Celebrated the 70th Anniversary

"Bavlyneft" Oil and Gas Production Company, which is a structural division of PJSC TATNEFT, celebrated the 70th anniversary. The Bavly Town Day celebrations were held alongside.

The celebration ceremony was attended by Rustam Minnikhanov, President of Tatarstan, Nail Maganov, General Director of PJSC TATNEFT, Shafagat Takhautdinov, Assistant to President of the Republic of Tatarstan on the oil industry, Ramil Gatiyatullin, Head of the Bavly Municipal District, Heads of TATNEFT Group of Companies, Heads of the oil region municipal districts, industry veterans, honorary citizens of the Bavly Town and Bavly district.

As part of the jubilee celebrations there were meetings held with the veterans of  "Bavlyneft" and visiting the social facilities. In particular, the guests participated in unveiling the monument to well No. 1, which was the first to discover Devonian oil at Bavlinsky field. On the same day, there was a ceremony held on unveiling the monument and flowers laying to the monument of the famous Tatar poet Fanis Yarullin, a native of Bavly district. The participants of the event also visited the territory of the central park and the swimming pool re-opened after reconstruction.

 President of the Republic of Tatarstan warmly congratulated the citizens on the occasion of the town-forming enterprise "Bavlyneft" anniversary and the Town Day during the ceremonial event held at the "Neftche" stadium. Rustam Minnikhanov emphasized in his speech that for 70 years NGDU "Bavlyneft" had earned the title of one of the most innovatively active and dynamically developing enterprises of PJSC TATNEFT. Many of the advanced oil recovery techniques were initially tested and applied here. According to Rustam Minnikhanov:  “TATNEFT Company today maintains leading positions in the introduction of modern methods of oil recovery and its efficient operation is for the benefit of the Republic and the country, as a whole”.

The President also presented state awards of Tatarstan to the most distinguished workers of the town engaged in the oil industry, agriculture, culture and education, medicine.

In his address to the audience the General Director of PJSC TATNEFT called the 70th anniversary of "Bavlyneft" a truly historic milestone both for TATNEFT Company and the whole of the Republic and the industry. “The best traditions have been laid in the Division and these traditions have always been result-oriented and based on the most advanced technical solutions,” said Nail Maganov. "Bavlyneft" has made a great contribution to shaping the TATNEFT Company's technical policy and to the overall development of the Tatarstan’s petroleum school.

In the anniversary year the oilmen have paid special attention to development of the Bavly infrastructure. TATNEFT Company had supported construction of new social facilities and reconstruction of existing ones that were commissioned as part of   the Town Day celebrations.
