Grodno Azot starts construction on a nitrogen fertilizer complex relying on its own funds only

The management of the company believes that a potential investor could be engaged at any stage of the project, as follows from a statement made by Belneftekhim Deputy Chairman Igor Bobyr. However, Mr. Bobyr pointed out that his firm is currently not engaged in any negotiation with a potential investor. 

Grodno Azot's current annual production capacity includes 1.066 million tonnes of technical-grade ammonia, 1.011 mn tonnes of urea, 720 thousand tonnes of urea-ammonium nitrate solution (UAN) and 400 thousand tonnes of ammonium sulfate. 

 The government's stake in the company, amounting to 99.97% of its shares, is under operational control by the state-owned Belneftekhim concern.
