Tatneft-Neftekhim reports 3% tire production growth in 2015

In 2015, Tatneft's tire production facilities achieved a 3% increase in output. According to Tatneft-Neftekhim's Director Anwar Vakhitov, the company's plants produced a total of 11.99 million tires. He said that the output of all-steel tires reached 875 thousand units, with the Nizhnekamsk All-Steel Tire Plant reaching its projected capacity in December. In this period the company also produced 116 thousand tonnes of carbon black and 260 mold sets. 42 new tire models were put into volume production.

According to Mr. Vakhitov, this year the Scientific and Technical Center Kama plans to put into production 62 new tires and to launch the prototype-stage development of 6 new product lines of passenger-car and light truck tires of the Viatti brand. The company's plans also include the reconstruction of Nizhnekamskshina's stock preparation shop, which will allow to increase the output of rubber mixes by 30 thousand tonnes per year.

In 2015, Nizhnekamskshina modernized its compressor facilities, replacing outdated equipment and buying an X-ray inspection system capable of analyzing the quality of passenger and light truck tires, and a steel cord cutting and linking line.

A lot of effort was dedicated to ensuring the environmental safety of the company's plants. The company's spending on this count amounted to RUB 256.88 million. In October and December, Nizhnekamskshina, NZGSCH (Nizhnekamsk Truck Tire Plant) and NZSCH CMK (Nizhnekamsk All Steel Cord Tire Plant) underwent recertification audit.

Tatneft's tire production division includes the Nizhnekamskshina plant, the Nizhnekamsk Truck Tire Plant, the Nizhnekamsk All-Steel Cord Tire Plant, Tatneft-Neftekhimsnab (the Group's feedstock supplier), the KAMA Trading House (markets the finished products), and the Scientific and Technical Center Kama.
