Press release: Gazprom Neft strengthens its partnership with the Nizhny Novgorod Oblast in supplying innovative bitumens and lubricants
Gazprom Neft and the Government of the Nizhny Novgorod Oblast have concluded an agreement during this year’s Russian Investment Forum in Sochi on cooperating in supplying the region’s road-building industry with modern high-quality bitumen materials, and in promoting import substitution in motor oils and service fluids. All documents were signed by Alexander Dyukov, CEO and Chairman of the Management Board, Gazprom Neft and Gleb Nikitin, Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Oblast.
The parties have agreed to work together in promoting import substitution in automotive and industrial engineering lubricants in the region. Under the terms of the agreement Gazprom Neft will be providing the region’s urban and municipal enterprises with high-quality motor oils as endorsed by leading international automotive producers.
Gazprom Neft’s collaboration with the region also envisages the company supplying its cutting-edge road bitumens, polymer-modified bitumen binders and innovative bitumen derivatives for road building and reconstruction throughout the Nizhny Novgorod Oblast. The effective fulfilment of the agreement is ensured by the geographical proximity of Gazprom Neft’s high-tech production facilities — the Moscow Refinery, the Ryazan bitumens plant, the NOVA-Brit plant in Vyazma and the Moscow Lubricants Plant in Fryazino (Moscow Oblast).
Alexander Dyukov, CEO and Chairman of the Management Board, Gazprom Neft, commented: “The Nizhny Novgorod Oblast, having Russia’s fifth largest road network, is of strategic importance to the country’s entire transport system. In order to improve highway quality and longevity Gazprom Neft is not just meeting regional demand for innovative bitumen materials, but is also providing extensive and integrated expertise and technological support in implementing effective solutions for developing transport infrastructure.”
Gleb Nikitin, Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Oblast, added: “Cooperating with Gazprom Neft means our road-building industries are guaranteed high-quality materials, and prevents any deviation from standards in road-building and road-repair techniques, thus ensuring the high quality and longevity of Nizhny Novgorod’s roads.”
