Press release: Acron Introduces Satellite Transport Monitoring System

Acron Group, a leading mineral fertiliser producer in Russia and globally, has introduced the Wialon satellite transport monitoring system at its production site in Veliky Novgorod.

Specialised equipment is installed on 253 motor vehicles and 17 railway vehicles to monitor driver compliance with the work-rest schedule and speed limits and provide immediate notification about accidents to ensure timely emergency assistance. Wialon also collects data on fuel and lubricant levels and actual consumption.

Using Wialon, a dispatcher can promptly locate a car or a diesel locomotive and check its schedule and itinerary. The system’s reports help analyse actual fuel consumption for any period, compare it with standards and promptly evaluate the savings for each car, diesel locomotive and the overall fleet.

Earlier this year, NWPC (a member of Acron Group) also introduced the SCOUT satellite monitoring system for cars and other mobile machinery. Vehicle coordinates are determined using the GLONASS satellite navigation system. Today, the system covers the entire fleet at the Oleniy Ruchey open pit and over 40 auxiliary vehicles.
