Press release: Waste recycling:Poliom transferred recyclables to Omsk producers for further processing

As part of the program implementation for the separate collection of wastes, the plant Poliom transferred over 200 tons of polymers for recycling. Omsk companies-processors produced from it garden and household tools, washbasins, buckets, sack tare, packaging boxes.

Polymer wastes (packaging polyethylene and polypropylene production wastes) were sold to 6 Omsk manufacturers of consumer goods. As of mid-December, they processed 218 tons of polymers. This amount of raw material is enough, for example, to make more than 200k plastic buckets with a volume of 10 liters.

Let us note that polypropylene is a high-quality and environmentally friendly polymer, which has a wide range of applications, including the manufacture of medical devices. When recycling, it retains its properties. To obtain products, processors sort waste, crush, agglomerate it into granules, then form the products.

One of the first in the regionwho introduced the program of separate waste collection in 2017 was Poliom. The separate waste collection reduces the impact on the region environment by involving in the recycling of polymers, scrap metal, cardboard and wood. According to the results of 11 months of 2018, the joint venture of GC Titan, Gazprom Neft and SIBUR transferred over 500 tons of recyclables to the specialized organizations for the further processing
