Press release: TATNEFT Is among ECO Leaders of Tatarstan Again

The ceremony of awarding the ECOleader contest winners was held in Kazan. The event was attended by the heads of the largest enterprises of the Republic, heads of municipal districts, and media representatives.

The awards received by TATNEFT reaffirmed the high efficiency of environmental measures implemented by the Company in the region of its activities. The activity of the joint stock company to ensure environmental safety is carried out in accordance with the requirements of federal laws in the area of environmental protection and meets all applicable environmental regulations and rules.

PJSC TATNEFT is one of the leaders among the enterprises of the fuel and energy complex of Russia in terms of associated petroleum gas utilization. Thanks to an integrated approach to the implementation of air protection measures, a high level of investment in the construction and modernization of facilities the Company demonstrated the APG utilization level exceeding 95% over the past decade, the Company.

In view of avoiding contamination of rivers and reservoirs, the Company maintains the operational status of 528 stationary oil recovery facilities, booms and bioponds. There are 516 springs cleared, developed and architecturally equipped by the forces of the Company’s divisions within the territory of the TATNEFT’s activities.

The Company established a complex system of selective accumulation, collection and processing of production and consumption waste, using them as raw materials for the production of marketable products. TATNEFT applies innovative technologies and technical facilities in all areas of production and performs scientific research in the area of improving energy efficiency and reducing the negative impact on the environment.
