The Petroleum Storage Depot of the OOO TATNEFT-AZS Center’s Chelny branch has been recognized as the best terminal in the international “Oil Terminal 2018” contest.
The awarding ceremony for representatives of the best petroleum storage depots and terminals was held in St. Petersburg within the framework of the XIIIth Strategic Congress and the Technical Conference “Oil Terminal 2018”. The petroleum storage depot of the Chelny branch of TATNEFT-AZS Center won the title “The best petroleum storage depot of Russia and the CIS: innovation and safety”.
The contest participants were evaluated according to technical criteria, among which there were terminal capacity, equipment, industrial safety and territorial location.
The petroleum storage depot of the Chelny branch of TATNEFT-AZS Center daily accepts more than 89 tank trucks and ships more than 1,929 tonnes of petroleum products to the filling stations of the TATNEFT network.
According to Rashit Khabibrakhmanov, Head of the Chelny branch of OOO TATNEFT-AZS Center, the victory was made possible thanks to the well-coordinated work of the team of the Chelny branch, systematic work on introducing innovative solutions, implementing the most complicated measures to develop and improve the equipment of the petroleum storage sttation.
The Strategic Congress and Technical Conference “Oil Terminal 2018”, which the contest is part of, is held, annually bringing together more than 350 representatives of oil and gas, trading and transportation companies, including refineries, crude oil terminals, ports, and representatives of other areas of the oil business from about 25 countries in Europe, Asia and America. The organizing committee forms the Congress program taking into account the information needs of enterprises in the oil and gas, oil and gas processing and petrochemical industries.
Ramil Badrtdinov, Deputy Head for Technical Support of the Chelny branch emphasized that “We presented at the conference the result of hard work and technical solutions implemented during the reconstruction of the depots. For example, vapor recovery systems, a system of hermetic loading of petroleum products into tank trucks and other projects are innovative and contribute to the environmental safety of the region”.
