Press release: Lukoil and Perm region continue cooperation

President of LUKOIL Vagit Alekperov and the Governor of Perm Region, Maksim Reshetnikov, signed a protocol on cooperation for 2019, in Perm today. The signing ceremony was attended by Igor Komarov, the Russian Federation Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy in the Volga Federal District.

One of the key areas of cooperation is the project Friendly Rural and Urban Environment, begun earlier this year. It is an ambitious initiative envisaging the redevelopment and improvement of public spaces in dozens of cities and towns. The document also covers implementation of infrastructure projects, including the development of gas- and heat-supply facilities in the Kama Region.

During their business trip, Igor Komarov, Maksim Reshetnikov and Vagit Alekperov visited the new office building of LUKOIL-Engineering in the historic center of Perm, and also a Research and Educational Center, Geology and Development of Oil and Gas Fields, of the Perm National Research Polytechnic University. The research center, initiated by the university and LUKOIL-PERM as a career-guiding project, helps improve the professional competences of graduates through practical training.

An official event took place the same day to celebrate the 60th anniversary of LUKOIL-Permnefteorgsintez and its achievements. More than thirty oilmen received governmental, departmental and corporate awards as part of the celebration.
