Press release: Gazprom Neft further develops its partnership with the Primorsky Krai

Gazprom Neft and the Administration of the Primorsky Krai have concluded an Agreement at this year’s Eastern Economic Forum, providing for cooperation in the import substitution of lubricants and service fluids. The document was signed by Gazprom Neft CEO Alexander Dyukov and Acting Governor of the Primorsky Krai Andrey Tarasenko.

The agreement envisages increasing supplies of Gazpromneft and G-Energy branded lubricants to city and municipal utilities and energy companies, as well as the region’s industrial and transport facilities, and will involve the selection of high-quality Gazprom Neft lubricants, matching the standards of the major international equipment manufacturers, and designed to replace expensive competitive imports. Specialists from Gazpromneft-Lubricants, operator of the Gazprom Neft lubricants business, will provide integrated engineering, technical and service support to specialist organisations in the region under the agreement.

Gazprom Neft CEO Alexander Dyukov commented: “The Primorsky Krai is Russia’s gateway to the countries of the Asia—Pacific region. The uninterrupted supply of high-technology lubricants to transportation businesses is not only vital to the reliability of passenger and freight traffic, but also to the broader development of the economy and business potential of the Primorsky Krai. Gazprom Neft’s competitive advantages — modern production facilities and an advanced logistics network — mean we can meet the needs of partners and customers with high-quality products in no way inferior to more expensive competitive foreign products.”

Signed during the Eastern Economic Forum, this import-substitution agreement further strengthens Gazprom Neft’s partnership with the Primorsky Krai — the company having concluded an earlier agreement with the local administration on supplying the region with high-technology bitumens and bitumen-derivative products for the construction and capital refurbishment of highways, utilities and housing in the Primorsky Krai.
