Press release: Annual General Meeting of PJSC "Nizhnekamskshina" Shareholders

An annual general meeting of PJSC "Nizhnekamskshina" shareholders, which is part of the TATNEFT’s tyre manufacturing business, was held in Nizhnekamsk (Republic of Tatarstan).

The event was attended by Rinat Sabirov, Assistant to President of the Republic of Tatarstan; Gyuzel Khabutdinova, Acting Director of OOO Tatneft-Neftekhim Management Company; Nikolay Zelenov, Adviser to Chairman of the Board of Directors of PJSC Nizhnekamskshina, Tsalik Portnoy Acting Executive Director of PJSC "Nizhnekamskshina".

Edward Mironov, Deputy Director of PJSC "Nizhnekamskshina" presented to the audience a report on the results of the Company's operations in 2017. The total output of PJSC Nizhnekamskshina amounted to 9.7 million thousand tyres in 2017. The company's products are supplied to the leading domestic motor vehicles assembly enterprises, such as UAZ, Ford Sollers Holding, Volkswagen Group Rus. The geography of export shipments of the factory’s products totals 36 countries, new markets have been developed: Angola, Bangladesh, Belgium, Bosnia, Cyprus, etc. In addition to the traditionally high demand at the foreign markets in the CIS countries, the company's products also meet a ready market in Europe in such countries, as Serbia, Romania, Bulgaria and Belgium.

In 2017, 27 new commodity items were put into full production. The products quality has been confirmed by victories in prestigious contests. For example, the 235 / 55R17 Viatti Bosco A/T tyre was awarded in the nomination "For success in import substitution" of the All-Russian contest "100 best goods of Russia" in the reporting period. At the regional stage of the contest "Best Goods and Services of the Republic of Tatarstan". This tyre was recognized as the best in the nomination "technical and industrial goods" and the 1st degree diploma was also granted to tyre 175/65R14 KAMA EURO 129.

The modernization and the automation of the enterprise production are underway, the products quality is improving, and lean production tools are being actively applied. Within the framework of the investment program, the works have been completed on the stock preparation shop reconstruction project with such facilities as the "Line for production of the side wing for passenger and light truck tyres" and the "Line for cutting textile cords" put into operation.

Based on the results of work in the area of ecological safety and environmental protection PJSC "Nizhnekamskshina" was awarded a winner diploma of the of "The Leader of Environmental Activities in Russia in 2017” contest.

A special attention has been paid to the securing the social well-being, decent standard of living for workers, as well as to the development of the environment for their professional growth.

In the course of the meeting, the shareholders elected members of the Board of Directors including Andrei Besov, Security Department Head of OOO Tatneft-Neftekhim Management Company; Aidar Belyayev, Chief Engineer of PJSC "Nizhnekamskshina"; Anvar Vakhitov, Head of the Center for the Petrochemical Complex Development of the Department for Implementation of Construction Projects of PJSC TATNEFT n.a. V.D. Shashin; Ildar Gizdatullin, Executive Director of JSC "Nizhnekamsk Mechanical Plant"; Mikhail Kirilin, Head of Technical Production Department of OOO Tatneft-Neftekhim Management Company; Alexey Petrov, Corporate Support Division Head of the Strategic Programs Planning Department of PJSC TATNEFT n.a. V.D. Shashin; Gyuzel Khabutdinova, Acting Director of OOO “Tatneft-Neftekhim” Management Company; and Ilgizar Yakushev, Deputy General Director of JSC “Tatneftekhiminvest Holding”. Rinat Sabirov, Assistant to President of the Republic of Tatarstan, was appointed to the PJSC "Nizhnekamskshina” Board of Directors based on the Golden Share owned by the Government.

The General Meeting of the Shareholders approved the Public Joint Stock Company’s annual report and annual financial statements, as well as the report on the financial results of PJSC "Nizhnekamskshina". The meeting elected members of the Audit Commission. JSC "PricewaterhouseCoopers Audit" (Moscow) was approved as an external auditor of PJSC "Nizhnekamskshina").

Ildar Gizdatullin was elected as Chairman at the first meeting of the Company’s Board of Directors, held after the Shareholders’ General Meeting.
