Press release: Effective Technologies of TATNEFT Company to Maintain the Reservoir Pressure

There are low-pressure systems of the reservoir pressure maintenance introduced at Tatneft Company, which allow reducing capital investments in the reservoir pressure maintenance (RPM) system in the field by 30 percent.

One of the projects has been implemented at the Yersubaykinskoye oil field of NGDU Yamashneft. The implementation of the system paid off within less than one year.

The low pressure RPM system implemented in this project allowed to significantly reduced the capital investment at the expense of reducing the length of water lines (63 km instead of 98 km), using pipes with a smaller wall thickness, optimizing the number of the working personnel for maintenance of the facility, and reducing the commissioning time for the facility. Thanks to the introduction of a low-pressure system, it has also become possible to work with a high-temperature working agent.

This technical solution has been recognized as one of the TATNEFT’s best practices and it has been applied to equip more than 40 wells at NGDU Yamashneft. The engineering development has also been applied at other NGDU facilities of PJSC TATNEFT with positive results of technical and economic calculations.
