Press release: Credit Agricole CIB to provide EUR 600 million credit facility to Gazprom

Gazprom and the French bank Credit Agricole Corporate & Investment Bank (Credit Agricole CIB) signed a five-year EUR 600 million Facility Agreement.

The document was signed on behalf of Gazprom by Andrey Kruglov, Deputy Chairman of the Management Committee, and on behalf of Credit Agricole CIB by Erik Koebe, President of Credit Agricole CIB AO (Russia), and Nicolas Lipovsky, Managing Director, Head of Loan Origination, Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa, Credit Agricole CIB.

The Facility Agreement marks the second deal made by Gazprom to secure financing directly from Credit Agricole CIB.

Background

Credit Agricole Corporate & Investment Bank (rated long-term “A” by S&P, “A+” by Fitch, “A1” by Moody’s) is the Corporate and Investment Banking arm of the Credit Agricole Group, Europe’s No. 2 bank measured by Tier One Capital.
