Europlast’s Rostov plant invests into creation of its own power generation complex

The total sum of investment is RUB 153 mn. According to the project, the new facilities will generate energy, and excess heat will be utilized. This way the company will minimize the costs of buying electricity from an external supplier.

Plant CEO Sergey Yermolenko said that the project will be finished by year-end. The commissioning of the power-generating facilities will happen in two stages. At the first stage, which has been completed, the launch of the gas engine generators takes place. The second stage involves the launch of the chiller: a specialized device for cooling liquid.

“Today we’re having substantive discussions about projects aimed at developing our production capacities. Among them is the investment project implemented by Europlast, which provides for the construction of an in-house heat and cold generating station. The results will help the company satisfy its own needs. This is an example of the right approach to the development of a company and is in line with the modern trend which company clearly supports,” said Vitaly Kushnarev, Head of Rostov City Administration.
