Press release: Research and Practice Conference of Young Workers Was Held at TATNEFT
The XVIIth research and practice conference of the Company’s young employees dedicated to the 55th anniversary of NGDU "Elkhovneft" was held at TATNEFT Company.
The conference was attended by over 400 delegates from the structural divisions and subsidiaries of PJSC TATNEFT, management companies, educational institutions of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Russian Fuel and Energy Complex companies.
Nail Ibragimov, First Deputy General Director for Production - Chief Engineer of PJSC TATNEFT, pointed out that the Company's staff was implementing a development strategy that provided for doubling the market value of the TATNEFT Group by 2025. The Company’s main objectives included increasing the production volumes of conventional and high-viscosity oil, increasing the refining capacity, increasing the efficiency of the tire-manufacturing complex, as well as that of the retail sales network. Innovations were actively implemented for achieving these goals, new equipment was employed, and the production management system was being improved. At the same time, special attention was paid to digital technologies, which were key drivers of the Company's growth.
According to Nail Ibragimov, the Company's professionals were now working on the possibility of using capabilities of artificial intelligence, creating "digital counterparts" of real facilities. Three-dimensional models allowed performing more efficient monitoring of ongoing processes, interacting with all project participants, increasing the scientific content and the production efficiency.
The Company’s Chief Engineer emphasized that a traditional research and practice conference was one of the most effective platforms for demonstrating abilities and the works presented at the conference were a good indicator of the young people’s creative activity.
Concluding his speech, Nail Ibragimov congratulated NGDU "Elkhovneft" on the 55th anniversary and thanked the youth organization asset of the Company for the significant contribution to the development of TATNEFT.
The plenary part of the event also included addressed by Svetlana Lapteva, acting Deputy Head of the Almetyevsk district executive committee of for social issues; Azat Khabibrahmanov, Head of NGDU "Elkhovneft"; Nurislam Syubaev, Deputy General Director of the Company for Strategic Development; Alexander Minikh, Director of the TATNEFT’s Scientific and Technical Center; Professor Boris Uspenskiy, Head of the of the Oil and Gas Geology Department of KFU (Kazan State University) n.a. Academician A.A. Trofimuk; Dmitry Grabovetsky, Chairman of the TATNEFT’s Central Council of Young Professionals.
There were some changes introduced in the activities of the conference of the Company’s young employees (MNPK) in 2017. There were additional sections, which started operation: for geological and surveying support of the oil and gas fields’ development and development of the retail sales network. Reorganization of the section "Personnel management” resulted in the establishment of two new sections: personnel management and the work organization and motivation, development of the production system, while the possibility of submitting works for participation in the research and practice conference through a corporate social network had been finalized already taking the new sections into account.
The research and practice conference participants were able to follow up the work of the MNPK’s sections directly in the online mode. The application "MNPK-2017" had been developed for this purpose.
The results of the MNPK participants will be summarized on the team overall basis.
The Youth Research and Practice Conference of the TATNEFT Company once again demonstrated the potential of the TATNEFT’s young professionals. There were 369 works selected out of 1,020 applications announced for the forum in 2017. The most worthy of the submitted proposals will be included in the register of the Company’s best practices.
